Canadian Supreme Court ok’s swingers clubs

December 22, 2005 in News by Admin

Group sex between consenting adults is neither prostitution nor a threat to society, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled on Wednesday, dismissing arguments that the sometimes raucous activities of so-called “swingers” clubs were dangerous. “Consensual conduct behind code-locked doors can hardly be supposed to jeopardize a society as vigorous and tolerant as Canadian society,” the court wrote.

Man Dates Mom Story? FAKE!

December 22, 2005 in News by Admin

Through the wonder that is the internet. Even Fake news is real news.

Urban Legends and Comedy conspire to blow reality out of the water when it comes to news stories.

Origins: The realms of comedy and folklore have seen many tales that are all variations on the same basic plot: a man is fixed up on a blind date, matched up with a prospective partner via computer dating, romances an unseen love interest via mail or the Internet, or arranges for a visit from a call girl, and when the two finally meet in person the suitor is horrified to discover that the woman he’s been fantasizing about is his mother, sister, daughter, ex-wife, or current (and therefore similarly cheating)

wife.

MAN DATES GAL ON INTERNET FOR SIX MONTHS — AND IT TURNS OUT SHE’S HIS MOTHER!

December 22, 2005 in Listener Submitted, News by Admin

Entertainment News & Gossip

By Grace Green

MARSEILLES, France — Skirt-chasing playboy Daniel Anceneaux spent weeks talking with a sensual woman on the Internet before arranging a romantic rendezvous at a remote beach — and discovering that his on-line sweetie of six months was his own mother!

“I walked out on that dark beach thinking I was going to hook up with the girl of my dreams,” the rattled bachelor later admitted. “And there she was, wearing white shorts and a pink tank top, just like she’d said she would.

“But when I got close, she turned around — and we both got the shock of our lives. I mean, I didn’t know what to say. All I could think was, ‘Oh my God! it’s Mama!’ ”

But the worst was yet to come. Just as the mortified mother and son realized the error of their ways, a patrolman passed by and cited them for visiting a restricted beach after dark.

“Danny and I were so flustered, we blurted out the whole story to the cop,” recalled matronly mom Nicole, 52. “The policeman wrote a report, a local TV station got hold of it — and the next thing we knew, our picture and our story was all over the 6 o’clock news. “People started pointing and laughing at us on the street — and they haven’t stopped laughing since.”

The girl-crazy X-ray technician said he began flirting with normally straitlaced Nicole — who lives six miles away in a Marseilles suburb — while scouring the Internet for young ladies to put a little pizzazz in his life.

“Mom called herself Sweet Juliette and I called myself The Prince of Pleasure, and unfortunately, neither one of us had any idea who the other was,” said flabbergasted Daniel.

“The conversations even got a little racy a couple of times.

“But I really started to fall for her, because there seemed to be a sensitive side that you don’t see in many girls.

“She sent me poems she had written and told me about her dreams and desires, and it was really very romantic.

“The truth is, I got to see a side of my mom I’d never seen before. I’m grateful for that.”

When starry-eyed Daniel asked Sweet Juliette to send him a picture, Nicole e-mailed him a photo of a curvy, half-clad cutie she’d scanned from a men’s magazine.

“The girl in the picture was so beautiful, I begged Juliette to meet me on the beach — and Mom said yes,” he recalled. “Mom says she was falling for me, too, and she just wanted to meet me, even though she knew I’d be disappointed when I saw her.

“As for me, I figured I was going to find the girl of my dreams.

“I guess that’s about as wrong as I’ve ever been.”

Daniel admits he and his mother could do little but stammer and stutter around each other for days after their cyberspace exploits came to light. And his father Paul — Nicole’s husband of 27 years — wasn’t too happy when the story hit the news and his beer-drinking buddies made him the butt of their jokes.

“Dad was ticked for a while and he forbid Mom to talk to anybody on the Internet ever again,” said embarrassed Daniel.

Police Whack Giant Snow Penis

December 17, 2005 in News by Admin

Before

By John Doherty

Times Herald-Record

jdoherty@th-record.com

New Windsor – What, some might ask Jessica Sherer, is with the giant snow penis she built on her boyfriend’s lawn this week?

As everyone knows, phallic displays were central to Viking winter solstice celebrations of fertility and rebirth. Yeah. So what.

And readers of this paper surely know that phallic rituals were as much a part of the Hopi Indian winter festivals as the Hawk dance.

But down on Quassaick Avenue, around the corner from the New Windsor Elementary School, the 6-foot tall, anatomically correct, finely detailed penis raised some questions Monday.

Especially for police.

“We got some calls that people thought it was offensive,” said New Windsor police Chief Michael Biasotti. “We assumed it was some kids who did it.”

Officers found no one home. Assuming the snow sculpture was more prank than nod to Christmas’ pagan roots, the police knocked it down. Beat it down with shovels, actually.

“We came back around 11 in the morning, and it was just a pile of snow,” recalled Sherer, 19. “Just some shovel marks.”

Sherer, um, erected the statue with her boyfriend and another friend Sunday. She said she was surprised to hear some neighbors took offense.

Motorists honked their approval, and people walking by pointed and laughed, she said.

“People were waving and laughing,” she said. “It was pretty funny.”

No citations or criminal violations will be issued for the display, Biasotti said. The town codes prohibit lewd signs on businesses, but don’t mention anything about public snow sculptures.

“We probably weren’t 100 percent correct in going on the property and knocking it down,” New Windsor Town Supervisor George Meyers said. “But our intentions were pure. Some people were offended. There are school buses going by there all day.”

The last two nights of freezing weather has made the snow too stiff to sculpt, said Sherer. But she intends to rebuild.

“In a couple of days, Thursday or Friday, after it gets a little warmer,” she promises.

Police and town officials aren’t sure what their move will be.

“I’d want the police to talk to the property owner if we got complaints, ask them to take it down” Meyers said. “But after that, I don’t think there’s too much we can do.”

Biasotti worries the display might give others ideas. “Now we’re going to get snow penises popping up all over town,” he said.

Many scholars, of course, trace the origin of the modern-day yule log to ancient pagan totems to virility and sun-god worship. Is that what Sherer was going for?

“We just did it because we were really bored, and we thought it’d be funny,” she said. “It was huge.”

Amish sex scam

December 17, 2005 in News by Admin

CHARDON, Ohio (AP) — A 75-year-old Amish widower, afraid his church community would find out about him seeking sex from a prostitute, was scammed out of more than $67,000 from the prostitute and her boyfriend, a prosecutor says.

Jake Byler of Burton Township gave the pair the money because they had convinced him that photos of Byler and the prostitute would appear on the Internet, county prosecutor David Joyce said.

Kimberly M. Webber, 35, and Patrick T. Lansdowne, 41, of Cleveland, were indicted Tuesday on six felony charges, including extortion, theft from an elderly person and burglary.

Both remained jailed on Wednesday and could not be reached for comment. If convicted, each faces a possible sentence of two to eight years in prision.

Authorities said Byler was seeking sex when he responded to a newspaper ad and was referred to Webber, who met with him about six times beginning in early 2004.

“He made a few errors in judgment, but he certainly didn’t deserve what happened to him,” Joyce said.

Joyce said Byler’s bank, suspicious about large withdrawals from his account this year, notified his son and daughter-in-law, who had power of attorney. The daughter-in-law contacted the sheriff’s department, which eventually got Byler to reveal what was happening.

He told detectives that Lansdowne had convinced him that someone broke into his rural home east of Cleveland and installed a camera in the bedroom.

Lansdowne said he knew a man who would get rid of the pictures for money. Byler tapped into his accounts, took out a loan and gave the pair cash he had stored in his home.

“When he realized he was getting duped he actually broke down and started to cry,” Joyce said Wednesday. “He thought these guys were friends and helping him get the pictures off the Internet.”

A deacon at Byler’s church helped videotape Webber receiving Byler’s final $500 payment, authorities said. After Webber received the money, deputies stopped the car she was riding in and arrested her.

Two men accused of being accomplices — Stanley D. Roy, 42, of Cleveland, and George C. Steffen, 63, of Brunswick — were charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

There was no telephone listing for Steffen.

Roy said he drove Webber to Byler’s house so the two could meet for sex, but assumed Byler was Webber’s “sugar daddy.”

“He didn’t seem to be doing anything against his will,” Roy told The Plain Dealer.

If they publish the photos on the internet, how would the Amish even know?

Jennifer Aniston: On Showing Her Naked Butt For Fans

December 17, 2005 in Legal Issues, News by Admin

Jennifer: “There’s nothing embarrassing about anything anymore.”

Sexy actress Jennifer Aniston recently revealed she is considering posing naked and flashing her bum for fans.

Aniston, who appeared topless on the cover of GQ magazine, thinks that the public already has seen so much of her body that she may as well take her panties off and reveal all.

The star said: “There’s nothing embarrassing about anything anymore. I’ll tell you, at this point, there’s such a freedom in a weird way. You can just say, ‘here I am. This is it’. It was like I was saying earlier today, ‘Well, I might as well pull my pants down at this point, since they’ve seen everything else.”

For the past few weeks the actress was involved in a legal scandal after filling out a lawsuit against photographer Peter Brandt, for trespassing her property and taking topless pictures with her.

Aniston insists that the pictures are illegal but paparazzi slamed her back, claiming that the star is to blame for walking barely dressed on her property were people might see her.

Cop Tasers Partner Over Soft Drink

December 9, 2005 in Legal Issues, News by Admin

Bad Cop! No Soft Drink!

-

Thursday, December 8, 2005

(12-08) 14:21 PST Hamtramck, Mich. (AP) –

A police officer has been charged with using a Taser on his partner during an argument over whether they should stop for a soft drink.

Ronald Dupuis, 32, was charged Wednesday with assault and could face up to three months in jail if convicted. The six-year veteran was fired after the Nov. 3 incident.

Dupuis and partner Prema Graham began arguing after Dupuis demanded she stop their car at a store so he could buy a soft drink, according to a police report.

The two then struggled over the steering wheel, and Dupuis hit her leg with his department-issued Taser, the report said. She was not seriously hurt.

Hamtramck police union lawyer Eugene Bolanowski said he expected Dupuis to hire a private lawyer.

Hamtramck is a city of 23,000 surrounded by Detroit.

Kim Cattrall Nude

December 8, 2005 in News by Admin

71580375 93E6Ca4214 OBy Paul Rapoport

The Hamilton Spectator(Nov 28, 2005)

A few weeks ago, on a GO section cover, The Spectator printed a large photo of actor Kim Cattrall in connection with a new book of hers. Some readers complained about the photo because Cattrall was naked.

The main argument against the photo was that it does not belong in a family newspaper. “Family” means a few things, chiefly the presence of children, also a certain parental attitude: young minds should not be polluted by nudity in a newspaper that arrives for breakfast.

Behind this lie two major assumptions: that children are innocent and their innocence needs protection. Although in some ways children are innocent, many parents narrow that to mean ignorant and try to keep them so, especially in sexual matters.

“Protection” via ignorance then easily backfires as a method of upbringing. It also loads burdens onto minors of all ages that adults fail socially to deal with.

Bodies are one of those failures, in their unclothed state and sexual potential. We act in imaginative ways to keep even the topics of nudity and sexuality from minors.

It doesn’t matter that young children in all cultures prefer to be naked, that at very early ages they masturbate, if non-erotically, and that in adolescence they know well what erotic experience is.

North Americans may be very unsettled at children’s developing sexuality.

“Our culture deals with this inevitability,” writes the social critic James Kincaid, “by issuing orders to deny it.”

Ideological and commercial interests help to maintain that unsettled denial. Ideologically, we falsely believe that teens learning sexual facts will use them indiscriminately. Commercially, advertising blasts us with sexual messages that we try to prevent many of their intended targets from heeding.

Many deny reality constantly to maintain the myth that we can enforce minors’ distancing from sex. The United States, for example, officially promotes and exorbitantly funds “abstinence-only” sex education.

Five of the best American professional organizations have shown scientifically that it doesn’t work, that vows of abstinence break far more easily than a good condom.

The result: the U.S. government says that’s not science.

That kind of reaction reached its nadir a few years ago. In 1998, a scientific analysis by Rind, Tromovitch, and Bauserman claimed that not all sexual experiences of minors presumed harmful are actually so.

What did the U.S. Congress do? It didn’t say, “We’d better study this” or “We think your stats are wrong.” As soon as it could, in a fit of political hysteria, it denounced the analysis in unanimous votes in both House and Senate. It lynched the messenger because it didn’t want to understand the message. Promoting baseless fear reaps far more political benefits.

Don’t sneer at our southern neighbours, however. Canada, while better, is hardly free from criticism. Its government has tried hard to make some thoughts about sex a crime. Its pornography laws are based on discredited theories. Its police often wrongly claim that child sexual abuse is an epidemic. Ontario’s Children’s Aid societies threaten nudist families, who refuse to buy into body shame and phobia. And its sex-ed curriculum for elementary schools is warped by omission of important concepts.

Obsession with sexuality may become absurd. Often, it results in those most afraid of it inducing plenty of harm where none existed. In Florida in 2004, a 22-year-old female babysitter undressed in front of her four-year-old male charge because he asked her to persistently, in his innocent way. The boy was declared psychologically damaged and sent to counselling. The babysitter faced 30 years in prison, much more than for murder.

That unhappy tale reminds me of an old joke about a four-year-old boy who spotted a totally naked woman standing up in a convertible. “Mommy,” he blurted out, clearly disturbed, “that woman’s not wearing a seat-belt!”

The crusade for children’s innocence takes other forms. Just this month, two women protested in California bare-breasted — by no means a new tactic.

Sacramento police arrested them for indecency and disorder, claiming their act “could corrupt children … and cause sex offenders to run amok.”

There is no evidence whatever to support such claims.

Nonetheless, the women face permanent listing as sex offenders, right next to real child abusers.

That sort of thing happens in Canada, too.

In the past 10 years, arrests of bare-breasted women in several provinces have been major news. In 2001, when the magnificent Breast of Canada calendar from Guelph showed women’s complete breasts, it was labelled “pornographic.” Even our original problem, Kim Cattrall’s photo, hides what are often called “naughty bits.”

What message does that send to children?

So we, too, can pin major harm on a tiny part of women’s bodies. This nipplemania is the ultimate fetish. It blames women’s nipples for disorder subsequently caused by police and calls them indecent to support false claims of protecting misconstrued innocence.

We do not help children by teaching them intolerance, disgust, and unjust discrimination towards women’s bodies or by hiding from them as much information as possible about bodies and sexuality.

Cattrall’s new book is called Sexual Intelligence.

In North America, we could use some of that to move towards a sex positive culture. Currently we convey mostly body negativity, in sexual politics of fear and hypocrisy.

As protective measures for children, nothing could be worse.

Dr. Rapoport, formerly at McMaster University, is a frequent contributor to the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality.

… there’s ‘innocence’ at risk. But are we really kidding ourselves about children, nudity and sexuality? Are we sending them a harmful message in the process?
