Judge wants ‘underwear bandit’ to be treated for fetish

9:11 AM in News by Admin

TWINSBURG — A Twinsburg man who admitted to breaking into homes and stealing women’s worn undergarments is a free man Thursday.

Prosecutors in the Remigio Abello case asked the judge for jail time. So did a number of victims who say they now live in fear because their homes were broken into.

Today, Abello told the judge he’s being treated for his fetish and then he apologized to his victims.

“I never intended to harm anybody,” Abello said. “I realize my actions caused people to fear their safety and for that I truly am sorry.”

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Janet Burnside sentenced Abello to five years of community control.

The judge told the victims she thought prison may not keep him from repeating his crimes when he got out. She wants him to be treated for his fetish saying the com
munity will be better served if Abello gets psychological help.

Village fetish club wants bondage night licence

9:09 AM in News by Admin

Feb 25 2005
By The Huddersfield Daily Examiner

A FETISH club in Honley ran for more than a year without a licence, it was revealed today.

Nemesis II, based at the Crossley Mills Business Park on New Mill Road, has now finally applied for a sex establishment licence to hold bondage nights.

The club has more than 20 pieces of dungeon and torture equipment and holds parties three times a month.

Theme nights include spanking and a classroom.

A Examiner story revealed the club last November and prompted a huge response on the letters page.

Surprisingly, most people in the village were in support of the club.

The owners had said the unit was used by a theatrical group, but now a licence in the name of Richard Uttley will go before councillors in March.

Clr Mike Bower, who spoke at the time of concerns for people who lived nearby, said he was happy the club was no threat to village life.

“There was one person who sent out loads of letters about the club,” he said.

“But they would not put their name to it and would not come forward to oppose it.

“It was clear from the letters sent to the Examiner that most people either did not care about the club or actively supported it,” he added.

“I went to see the owners soon after it became public knowledge and told them I thought they should apply for a licence.

“As long as they are not disturbing anybody else how can it be a problem? As long as the public are happy so am I.”

The club offers members and their guests an extreme fetish night, where clients pay £15 on the door or £180 per year. Once inside they must be dressed in leather, PVC, rubber or latex. No casual clothing is allowed.

The club’s website shows pictures of people with blanked-out faces using the equipment and asks readers what type of fetish nights they would prefer.

Doug Holliday, of Kirklees Council’s licensing department, said the application was being processed.

“The owners saw us and decided to apply for a licence. There was a meeting between ourselves, club representatives and the police. We thought this was the best way forward.”

Any objections to a licence must be made in writing to the group licensing officer, Licensing Department, Queensgate Market, Princess Alexandra Walk, Huddersfield, by Monday, March 21.

Leather ‘n’ latex lads ‘n’ lassies off to Black ‘n’ Blue Ball tonight
By ROCHELLE SQUIRES, STAFF REPORTER

If you’re all dressed up in your favourite leather and latex outfit with no place to go, don’t despair. The longest running pansexual fetish club in Canada is right here in Winnipeg and it’s throwing a ball tonight.

“You can wear stuff here you can’t wear in an ordinary bar,” said Master Bryan, founder of the fetish club and organizer of the increasingly popular Black and Blue Balls, held several times a year in the basement of the Osborne Village Inn.

“We have people who are timid and show up in street clothes and people who want to show it all,” he said.

In keeping with provincial health guidelines, the dress code stipulates the anus and genitals have to be covered with at least a scrap of fabric, but otherwise, anything goes.

“There are people who have everything else uncovered and are happy about it. Sometimes it’s a young 19-year-old girl, and other times it’s a 68-year-old granny,” the fetish club founder said.

Being topless is permitted at the ball as the bar is licensed for strippers.

“We have a coat check where people can check their street clothes,” said Bryan, adding he recommends ball-goers keep their street clothes or a warm overcoat on until inside the basement of the Inn. “PVC clothing doesn’t keep you very warm in the winter and it cracks in the cold.”

NON-PVC SURCHARGE

Tickets can be bought at the door or in advance at Discreet Boutique, Love Nest, Lady Godiva boutique, The Crypt and the Osborne Village Inn. There is a surcharge for those who don’t plan on stripping down to their PVC undies, G-string panty or jockstrap at the ball.

“Jeans and T-shirts is not acceptable dress, and we’ll dig you an extra $30 at the door if you don’t come in fetish wear,” he said. “But if it’s a person’s first ball, we recommend they dress in something they’ll be comfortable in, like boxer shorts or a housecoat.”

People are encouraged to “dress to express their interest” and there is always lots of handcuffs and harnesses in the crowd, he said.

“Bondage is very big. In fact, one-third of all couples have experimented with some sort of bondage,” the ball master said, noting there will be a three-way rope-bondage demonstration held at 11:30 p.m.

Certain hard-and-fast rules apply at the ball though, he warned.

“Absolutely no cameras are allowed. We have everyone from doctors, lawyers and business executives attending the ball, and one click of a camera could ruin someone’s life,” he said. “We’ve even had, from time to time, members of the government attend a ball.”

Inappropriate touching is also forbidden.

“You cannot touch someone without permission. It’s all about respect. We really keep the creeps and dirty old men in line,” he said.

Parts Is Parts

1:28 PM in News by Admin

I have a friend who did the cyberdating thing and connected with a guy on the East Coast who was her evident soul mate. Internet intimacy would seem particularly suited for the soul mate thing, wouldn’t it? It’s all text—words, ideas and feelings. It’s like Abelard and Heloise if they’d skipped the fornication, pregnancy and castration and gone straight to the letter-writing.

What could be better? There’s none of the transitory material stuff about whether you’re an endomorph or ectomorph, male or female, brown or beige, hirsute or smooth. Hell, you can’t even rate the penmanship. It’s essence speaking to essence—the real you, right?
